Four Foods On Friday #78

#1. Mashed potatoes. Do you usually buy the boxes, the frozen or make from scratch.
I always try to make mashed potatoes from scratch, because it is easy and tastes better- but we do have a box of the instant flakes in the pantry, and those twice-baked potatoes in the freezer.

#2. Cottage cheese. What kind do you like? (large curd, small curd, 2%, 4%, no salt, etc)
Large curd. I like to eat cottage cheese with fresh fruit, or they have those double packs where one side is the cottage cheese and the other side is a fruit preserves of some kind- they are good.

#3. Is there a food that you are brand loyal to?
Personally, I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that I have a strong brand preference for. My dad is brand loyal when it comes to orange juice and cranberry juice, though.

#4. When cooking do you usually use fresh onions or the ones from the spice aisle that are chopped or powdered?
Fresh, although there are some recipes where onion powder is needed; for example, ranch dressing and spice rubs.

The only fruit I mix cottage cheese with is pineapple. That’s my absolute favorite.

My husband prefers Dole brand orange juice. Or is it Tropicana? I know it when I see it. LOL

Not sure if my comment went through so I’ll leave another. What brand of twice baked potatoes do you buy? I get them from Schwan once in a while.
