“I Want….” Wednesday #52
What do you want to do outside?
I like to notice the progression of summer into fall and start enjoying the early-Fall weather as the season slowly sets in. Admittedly, I’m not a huge fan of summer, and fall is my favourite time of the year; it’s good snuggling weather, hehe…
We’re about that time now where it’s not necessary to wear heavy sweaters everyday (maybe every few days when it’s particularly chilly in the early morning or late afternoon); light layers are good for the most part and flip-flops are still ok to wear on some days. I’m not a person who wears flip-flops in the late fall or middle of the winter, though. When I’ve been bundled up in long-sleeved layered shirts, jeans, legwarmers and/or knee high socks, and boots on some particularly frigid days in December, I’ve seen kids around campus walking around in basketball shorts and Old Navy flip-flops like it’s March and we’re on spring break. Sound crazy? I think so, considering that extremities get cold the fastest and one can easily develop a cold from persistently having exposed feet, hands, or head- so I’ve learned from experience.
In a few weeks when the temperature has dropped more and the leaves are noticeably different in color, I wanna take a walk around somewhere with my sweetie and look at the trees.
(I, unfortunately, can’t do this now in my area because there isn’t a hell of a lot to look at yet; the leaves have just barely changed on some of the trees.) Then, when the leaves fall and the trees are bare, I want to go outside and roll around in the fallen leaves like I used to do when I was a kid.

I love days that are just cool enough for a little jacket, and the crunch crunch of golden red leaves beneath my feet, as I walk through Central Park.
Your Sheperd’s Pie recipe is perfect fall weather fare.
I played I Want…too.

Thanks for sharing your wants!
Fall is my favorite time of year too.
I hope you get your walk when the leaves start changing.

I know what you mean about wanting to roll around in the leaves. When I hear the ice cream man in the summer I just want to go running after him like I used to when I was a kid.
