Chicas de siete-y-once…
Well I have not really had the time to get things together with any of the sites, yet. Hopefully during some break coming up, or after band is done with (5 November is our last, major competition at Giants Stadium), I will have some more time for everything. Until then, everything aside from band, school, and hanging with friends and family… is “in limbo.” =P
I will, however, give a re-cap of everything that has been going on; for the sake of posting and making it seem like I have not dissappeared off of the face of the earth as the online community knows it.
School and band have both been going well. I just received my interm report in the mail: A’s in ceramics, world history and Spanish and a C in algebra II… because the class just blows and math has not been my strong point since grammar school. I was invited to join the Spanish Honours Society, and the introductory meeting for that is actually next Thursday. I also applied for the National Art Honours Society, and am currently working on a calender project which is due next Tuesday. I will admit that I am having a hard time getting that creative energy back in order to make something adequate for it; and I am kind of worried about making something “good” to what I think are their “standards” and what-not. I dunno, I will come up with something decent, I guess.
The ex-girlfriend and I got back together, after much thought on my part. Frankly, I am still thinking a lot of things over – about the way I feel about her, and other people – but hopefully things will turn out alright. At times, I tend to be driven crazy with all the drama bullshit that goes on… but yeah, as I said, hopefully everything will be okay.
My new computer is finally complete – and what I am using now to type this up!!! It looks bitchin’. The issue with the motherboard was resolved, and after finding out that my RAM was bad, I went and bought two sticks of 256 DDR today. It is 512mb short of what I would have had, if the RAM I bought in the first place was not bad; but it runs, and that is all I am concerned about right now. In the future, I want to get new RAM, a monitor, and a keyboard. I need to get my files transferred (I have two hard drives, for a total of about 360 gig… heh) and resolve the issue with the sound cards: apparently my board has an on-board sound card, among a lot of other shit, and it is interferring with the Soundblaster that is installed. I have to and disable that in the BIOS, probably later on tonight, so I can actually listen to music and stuff.
Tomorrow, a few friends and I are going to see Mindless Self Indulgence at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. It should be a fun show; we are really looking forward to it. I am torn about what I should wear, though. I might go crowd surfing, so a skirt and boots is out of the question; but at the same time… I kind of want to wear a skirt and boots. I dunno. Regardless, it is going to be great. If any Jersians/tri-state people are reading this, and are going to the show, holla at me and maybe we can meet up and chat or something.
Now is about the time where I end this, and go off to install and configure more things. Words cannot express how happy I am to have a brand new computer again…
