You want to hear about lightning-fast shipping? My RAM that I ordered on Sunday night around 1:00am from Newegg came via UPS this morning. WOW! That has to be the fastest, most reasonably priced shipping that I have ever had from an online store. Their 3 day guarantee is more like a 1.5 day guarantee. Awesome.
So far the only issue has been installing the RAM. For some reason, the RAM is being difficult and won’t let me put it in after many attempts. It doesn’t want to get in the socket, but I know it is the right kind and should therefore fit because I checked with the Kingston website before I bought it. I guess am going to wait until my dad gets home and then bug him to do it for me…
I am curious to see how fast my computer is going to be after the addition; I will have a total of 1.5 GB running dual channel once it is put in and if it works properly. Sweet…
I had mentioned before that I was looking at and bidding on printers on eBay. One seller had numerous printers of the same model, so after not winning two of the auctions by a few dollars, I bid on a third auction and I won the printer – I keep calling it a printer when it is really an all-in-one super duper combo machine thing
– for $33.01. With shipping it came to about $53, which is ultra-reasonable considering that HP has it on their website for $80 with free shipping, and a lot of other places online have it for about $60-100+ not including shipping. Apparently the order was received, processed, and shipped via FedEx almost immediately after I won the auction and made the payment.
Speaking of eBay: I won a Social Distortion patch from another seller for about $1.75, and I am still waiting on the headset and webcam combo auction, which is up around $10 right now. I was also browsing for Starbucks gift cards and things when I came across a seller who posted this on his auction page: A link to a page describing “The most expensive drink from Starbucks.” I am not going to ruin the surprise and say how much the coffee came to; read it and find out for yourself.
I got a kick out of it and I think you will, too.
And I could really go for a Thai iced coffee right now, since I made red curry sauce with Morningstar faux beef-stuff and carrots over jasmine rice for dinner and need something to top it all off. I might even have the condensed milk in the cupboard, but not the evaporated milk. Actually, I thought the Thai-style coffee (and tea) was made with coconut milk when I first had it at a restaurant a few weeks ago (my mom had the coffee and I had the tea; I thought the coffee was better, not as sweet as the tea was), but then I looked it up online and confirmed that it wasn’t. I might have to venture into the kitchen to see what I can find… but then again, the last few times I drank coffee this late at night, I didn’t sleep until 6:00am. That never happened to me until recently.

Hmm, you seem to be a ebay expert. Some people know how to hunt ebay and others, including myself, don’t. I’ve never got exactly what I ordered. I’ve gotten screwed over at least once if not more. I was trying to buy a Tamagochi from Japan (I could have just asked my grandmother) and I got some total crap imposter.
