Four Foods on Friday #50

#1. Pasta. How do you tell when it’s done? Do you cook on medium or high?
I generally crank the heat all the way to high and put a lid on the pot so the water can boil faster, and I always taste the pasta to make sure it is done. I hate over or undercooked pasta, but sometimes it happens anyway. :(

#2. Deep frying. What kind of oil do you use?
Regular vegetable or canola oil, since it is cheap and I usually have it on hand.

#3. Grilling. Do you grill on foil or directly on the grill?
It depends on what I am grilling. I generally just oil the grates and throw whatever I am grilling on the grill.

#4. Share a recipe that involves cooking something two different ways. Example, for lasagna you might fry the meat and bake the whole dish.
Stuffing is always a multi-step recipe that involves chopping, sauteing, and baking.
