The Domain

Fuchsia-Revolver.org has been on the web since July 2002. The name was the product of a brainstorm that Kay and I had one night while we were thinking of names for her new domain. My family and I were in the process of moving at the time and I can remember laying on the rug of my near-empty room with my laptop plugged into the phone jack in the wall in order to use the internet before it was shut off. When the name fuchsia revolver came up, I decided that I really liked it and registered it as my second domain. Fuchsia-Revolver then became my weblog, leaving Burned-Bridges to serve as my personal and hosting domain.

All of my domain names are registered with GoDaddy.com, which is highly reccomended if you are thinking about buying a domain name. I have used it for about six years. The cost is only $8.95 per year for a .com, .net or.org domain and they frequently run $6.95 and buy one, get one free offers.

Fuchsia-Revolver was hosted with Netriullium.com from 2002 to 2005 until I decided that it was pointless to have two hosting accounts when I could have the domain as an “add-on domain” on the much larger account that I had Burned-Bridges hosted on. Unfortunately, the early F-R.org archives (2002 to early 2005) were lost when my old host deleted my account.
