1. Do you like iTunes? Why/why not? What do you think of the iTunes store maybe going away? Does it matter to you? Why/why not?
At first, I didn’t like using iTunes and was a hardcore Winamp user, but I grew to like iTunes and the features that came with it. Admittedly, I haven’t purchased a lot of songs from the iTunes store; I didn’t hear that it might be “going away,” though, so I am going to have to check into that and see what that rumor is all about…
2. How do you get your music these days (torrents, iTunes, Amazon, record store, other)? What’s your preferred method of media (mp3s, cd, vinyl)? Why?
I am an avid XM Radio subscriber and listener. Even though some XM stations are streamed to the internet and available for subscribers to listen to on their computers, it is still something I mainly listen to while in the car. Otherwise, I have a huge iPod playlist that I listen to (and need to update as soon as I hook up the additional hard drive that I have laying around) when I work out (approximately two times a year) or when I can remember to charge and bring my iPod with me. I still occasionally burn CDs to listen to in the car – when my damn CD player doesn’t skip because it needs one of those cleaning discs, or because the CD-Rs are cheap.
3. Do you play any Rock Band or Guitar Hero? What do you think of downloadable content? More specifically, what do you think of downloading entire albums to play when you’ve already bought the CD in the past?
I love both Rock Band (RB) and Guitar Hero (GH), but I am partial to Guitar Hero. I think the idea of downloadable content is a great way to keep games fresh while fans wait for a completely new release, but buying all sorts of additional song packs could get pricey after a while. It especially sucks when you consider that the games and consoles are already expensive to begin with, and it isn’t nearly as expensive to download single-track MP3s from a reputable music website (i.e. iTunes, where – the last time I checked – MP3s were anywhere from $0.99 to $1.99.) If additional songs are available to download, they should be cheaper. Don’t get me wrong, I would totally download the Nine Inch Nails song packs for RB if I had an XBox 360 – but it would probably be one of the only things I would consider downloading, and it would have to cost $10 or less.

1. Do you ever get a ‘break’ from people (Say your S.O. goes on a personal vacation or something)? If you do, do you like the time alone? Why/why not?
Sometimes I could use more breaks from my parents, especially my mom who can get on my nerves very quickly sometimes. The only consistent break I have is when I drive to school, when it is just me in the car for about an hour and a half and I have time to think about things or focus on the day ahead of me.
2. Do you think being alone is a bad thing? Why/why not?
It depends on my mood. If I am in a good mood and can find something to do, like housework or homework when nobody else is at home, then being alone is a good thing; however, if I am in a bad mood, I prefer to be with some friends or someone close so I don’t sulk the day away.
3. Everyone gets lonely sometimes. How do you cope with being lonely? What do you do to make that feeling go away?
I go to a mall or the movies to shop by myself, because seeing a crowd of people can help me not feel alone (even if I don’t know any of the people), or I ask a friend if he/she wants to do something with me.

1. If you could be animal, what would it be? Why?
I would be a domestic calico or red tabby house cat. Laying around all day and basking in the sun coming through a window or door, all without a care in the world, must be nice.
2. If you could do one nice thing for anyone in the world (money, time, etc are not important here), what would you do?
Pay off the debt of all college students and graduates across America so they could focus their money towards other things, like having a good time traveling with their families, paying off other bills, etc.
3. What are you doing right now? If you could be doing anything else right now, what would it be? Why?
I’m posting my answers for this meme and then I am going to take a shower; however, if I could do anything right now, I would like to be traveling.

1. What are your favorite kinds of plant life (plants, flowers, etc)? Why?
I would have to say that roses, hibiscus, and sunflowers are my favourite kinds of flowers. We planted all different kinds of sunflower seeds this year and a whole bunch of them have popped up already. They look so pretty and cheerful!
2. Do you associate any memories with certain things (flowers, objects, etc)? Any you’d care to share?
In general, I associate roses and carnations with funerals and Valentine’s Day, two events that are at the opposite ends of the “happiness spectrum,” if you will.
3. By what method do you keep track of your memories (blogs, scrapbooks, etc)? If you don’t do anything to preserve your memories, how do you keep track of them? Does it matter to you?
Several blogs, photo albums, and a scrapbook (one so far that I made for a project in psychology class during high school) hold my memories. I also have a bulletin board above my computer desk where I stick several articles and things. Going back to the topic of flowers, I save almost all of the roses – and sometimes other kinds of flowers – that I buy or receive. The “oldest” roses that I saved were from my grandpa’s funeral in December 1999. I let the flowers dry out before displaying them in a vase in my bedroom, or I take the petals off and save them in a Chinese take-out box. Pretty soon I think I am going to start throwing some of the petals in with boxed Christmas and birthday gifts, or maybe I will make potpourri. I need to do something with them, eventually.
