Trusted Tours & Attractions

When most people think about New York, the first thing that probably comes to mind is New York City or some sort of famous New York City attraction like the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, the Metropolitan museum of art, etc. Sure, New York City is a lot of fun – I can’t remember a time that I went to the city and didn’t have fun – but why not explore another part of New York instead of resorting to the city as the only source of entertainment? Several online travel guides could probably tell you about other fun things to do in New York aside from going to the city, and I will share one of my experiences, too.

One of the best weekend trips I had was last year when I went to the Irish 2000 festival in Albany with Josh and his mom. It took about three to four hours to get there from Jersey, and we stayed in a hotel near the grounds where the festival was held and nearly across the street from the state university. Even though I was recovering from being sick, I had a pretty good time at the festival. A lot of musicians and groups played including The Street Dogs (the highlight of the whole weekend for me), Flogging Molly (I unfortunately couldn’t appreciate how good they were because I was feeling really sick and cold that night), and Gaelic Storm (you might remember them from Titanic.) There were a lot of vendors who sold nearly everything plastered with the Irish flag, from jewelry to t-shirts and more. I purchased a pretty celtic bracelet and a pair of earrings from one vendor, a glass charm for a necklace from another, and several other things. I am looking forward to seeing what they have there this year – and I really hope that The Street Dogs or some other “Irish punk” band decide to come back to play at the festival, just to liven things up a bit.

Golfing in Las Vegas

I was just talking about taking a trip to Las Vegas while eating dinner. I saw something on TV last night about the Vegas buffets, and that was all I needed to hear to convince me to eventually take a trip to Vegas. If you are looking to take a trip to Vegas sometime soon – and happen to be a golfer or interested in learning how to golf – be sure to visit Lasvegasgolfing.com to make your Las Vegas golf reservations. Go where the pros go! Lasvegasgolfing.com offers packages for some of the most popular golf courses, including TPC Las Vegas, Siena, Angel Park, Revere, Paiute and Tuscany. The pictures of the courses look so beautiful – you have to visit the site and see them!! I am not a golfer, but I wouldn’t mind taking up the sport if I could learn to play on one of those gorgeous courses!
