ANOTHER LOCAL TOUR DATE ADDED!

NINE INCH NAILS
HOUSE OF BLUES
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH

YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Now I know what my last Halloween store paycheck and the money I have from the paid blog posts is going to pay for…

Sickness, concerts, and web-stuff

I went to the doctor today. I have had a stuffy nose, swollen glands and a cough for the past few days. My head was so congested a few days ago, it felt as if there was a brick in my head instead of a brain. Luckily, I am feeling a bit better today than I was feeling yesterday; but I got some medication from the doctor, anyway, and a note to excuse (hopefully) today’s absence and tomorrow’s as well. I am supposed to go away for the weekend, but I don’t know. It depends on how I feel… =(

Every time I go to the doctor, he always mentions how much weight I lost. For those who may not know, from 5th grade to the 9th grade, I was very heavy. I was always a chunky kid – and still am, really – but my heaviest was around 230lbs in 6th/7th grade. I remember how ecstatic I was when I went to Old Navy for the first time. I bought two size 20 pairs of jeans – the first two pairs of jeans that I owned because before then, I always wore stretch or sweat pants (with the elastic on the bottom of the leg to go under the foot, hah!! I hated those when I was a kid!!!) – and they were tight as hell, but I vowed that I would eventually fit into the damn things. Well, I am anywhere from a size 8 to 12 now, depending on the jeans of course, but on average I take a size 10. Pretty amazing? What is even more amazing is that I have no idea how I lost all of the weight. I think at some point in time I probably had an eating disorder; but I cannot say that for a fact, because I don’t know. It could have been one that I never noticed, something really subtle like an heating habit or ritual.

Anyway.

There are quite a few good shows coming up at Starland in October…

5 October » Cannibal Corpse (most-likely going)

11/13 October » Street Dogs (would like to go)

18 October » HIM and Bleeding Through (would like to go)

20 October » Bad Religion (would really like to go)

27 October » Misfits (would like to go)

31 October » Type o Negative (definitely going)

Now if I only had the money… hah! I had to almost max-out my credit card in order to keep my phone turned on a a few weeks ago and my paychecks have not been too great. I have another job offer at a bakery about 10min away from my house that I might take, if this thing with my cousin falls through; but that job will only pay $8 an hour compared to the promised $8.50 to $9 an hour if I work with my cousin.

I have to finish remodeling my collective one of these days as well as Burned-Bridges. It needs a massive face-lift and it sucks that I am paying for it every year, but the hits keep going down and I am becoming less and less interested myself. I have a voucher for a free hosting account that I need to use sometime before October. All I need is a domain name to register it with… anyone have any ideas what I could use it for??

Update: I did some housekeeping with the pages and the look of the layout, made it a little cleaner and updated some of the info on the pages.

So I am overdue for going to see a concert…

I have not been to a concert since I went to see Type O at the Troc this past spring. =(

I missed Emperor again this year, and Immortal. I will probably miss Mayhem, too.

I heard more Ozzfest tickets are going to be sold. Too bad most of them will go to fucking scalpers and there are only a few bands that I would really like to see on the lineup. Ozzy owes Jersey. No really, he does. He fucked me and thousands of over people over in 2005 when Black Sabbath were canceled because he was “sick” again (second year in a row, as a matter of fact) and a lot of people, myself included, left Holmdel pissed off. I almost did not get a refund, because I did not buy my tickets at the box office and instead had to contact the people I bought my tickets from… who were located all the way out in Nevada. So, I would certainly not pay to see Ozzfest again – unless Tool or NIN were playing, and then I would even say, “Well maybe…”

Manson and Slayer are a possibility. I saw both at Ozzfest, on two separate occasions, and they were both awesome. Too bad I could hardly hear Slayer because the sound system at Tweeter BLOWS…

Warped tour is next week, and there is really only one band I want to see on the lineup – Bad Religion. $28 to see BR and some other people I don’t think I care too much about seeing…? Maybe. Too bad I have shit planned for most of next week (PACKING) or else I would consider going. I went in 2005, mainly to see DKM and Atreyu. Both were awesome.

Cannibal Corpse this fall should be good.

And King Diamond with Kreator next spring.

Probably a NIN summer or fall tour, too, I bet… they be in Europe now and play Oslo (<3333333333333333) next week, actually. I thought about packing up my shit and swimming over to Norway before I realized that it would be impossible to swim the Atlantic in my physical shape and the water is, ah, kinda chilly.

Anyway. That is all I have to say about that. If anyone hears about any good shows coming up, let me know, because – if you did not catch it from what I just wrote – I want to go to a show relatively soon….
