How much are you paying a month for your cell phone? $50? $100? Probably more, if you have a smart phone with a data plan on one of the nation’s primary carriers, like I do. For a family plan, which we have been “grandfathered” into, with three phones and an unlimited texting and data plan on my line, we are paying upwards of $180 PER MONTH. Yikes!!! That’s a lot of money just to be able to call a friend!
Needless to say, I was floored when I found out that there are pay-as-you-go plans from Straight Talk that are as good, if not better, than contract plans and still offer everything you need. Unlimited data, calling and texting for $45 per month? No early termination or activation fees?! Sign me up!!
The smartphones are as cool as any phones that you would be able to find at a carrier, offering touch screens, slide-out keyboards, Bluetooth, and more. For users who just want a basic phone without all of the frills, reconditioned phones are offered for as little as $10 – and some of them still have cool features like cameras and Bluetooth. Talk about hook, line and sinker – what a deal!
