Knitting Christmas Ornaments

Sponsored guest post contributed by Hilton Miranda

Christmas ornaments are fun to knit and you can make several of them in a short time to decorate your whole tree. You’ll find plenty of free Christmas ornament patterns online if you look. Since I have bestchoicetv I can download all the patterns I like and store them on my hard drive for future reference.

You’ll probably want to knit a variety of Christmas ornaments rather than making a whole bunch of one design, but that’s up to you. You’ll find a lot of simple patterns that will knit up quickly, but knitted Christmas ornaments can also be quite complicated. If you choose easy patterns, you can make a whole bunch of them pretty quickly. However, intricate designs will show off your knitting skills better.

Some items you can knit to use as Christmas ornaments are miniature scarves and hats. Stars are also easy to knit. For something a little more challenging, you can make tiny socks or stockings, mittens and gloves. It is best to use small needles and thin yarn to make Christmas ornaments. Otherwise, your ornaments may turn out larger than you meant for them to be.

  1. Anna, I saw on Ravelry that you had 2 1/2 skeins of Adriafil Capriccio that you would be willing to part with. What color are they(#)? I couldn’t figure out how to contact you thru the Ravelry site. Sorry!
