Think about all of the time you might spend on the internet in a given day or week. I’m usually a fanatic of bookmarking websites, both at work and at home, but there are times when I bookmark too many things and forget to or don’t have the time to go back and organize them all. Same goes with social bookmarking sites, which I have also used in the past.
For problems like this, I came across a site called clipix (www.clipix.com). What this tool allows you to do is drag and drop a link to your toolbar on whatever browser you use and make “clipboards” when you see pages or things you want to categorize and come back to. You don’t need to waste time to create an account because the site allows you to login using Facebook or Twitter (so convenient!)
Here are some ideas for how to use the site:
–Eat healthier during the week. Create weekly clipboards to save recipes and plan out your meals.
–Plan ahead for birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. Make a clipboard with ideas for what you might want to get your significant other for your anniversary, your best friend for his/her birthday, or holiday shopping.
–Need to put together a thesis paper or research project? Create a clipboard with some links to useful websites to help you with your research.
–Save up and reward yourself. Create a savings plan with your online banking tool, set a goal for how much you want to save, and start getting some ideas together on your clipboard for your dream vacation.
If you have an iPhone, you can also download the app to look at your clipboards on the go.
What other uses will you find for clipboards?
