Homemade Irish Cream

I came across a recipe for Homemade Irish Cream that presented me with a perfect excuse to imbibe over the holiday weekend while simultaneously knocking off one of my my foodie resolutions while doing so. Pretty cool. ;) I guess Irish Cream is considered a cordial... or a liqueur. Serious Eats suggests that the terms are interchangeable, with cordial appearing more often on dessert-like products: liqueurs flavored with coffee, cream, chocolate, etc. I followed the recipe for the basic ingredients, ... On Pinterest: Turkey Day

The quintessential holiday for eating in the U.S. is upon us, folks. Thanksgiving. This year, my immediate family and I will be celebrating on the weekend, since we all have other plans for today. Likewise, the scramble ... Continue Reading

Review: Fifty Shades of Grey

I ranted a while ago on my personal Facebook page about Fifty Shades of Grey. I noted that it wasn't the sex scenes, rape undertones, or flawed nuances of a BDSM relationship that bothered me after becoming aware and attempting (read: struggling and failing) to read the first book in the series. I know that I am probably in the minority on that front, since many have been up-in-arms over those things since the book debuted a few years ago and the discussion has only rekindled with the launch of the ...
