Foodie Resolutions for 2015: Revisited

Now that the year is just about over (wow, isn't that hard to believe...), it seems like an appropriate time to revisit my foodie resolutions for 2015 list that I posted back in January to see how I did. As a recap, the inspiration for this challenge came from an MSN Food & Drink article that featured 51 new things that foodies should try this year. I reviewed the list to weed out the things that I've already accomplished and the common sense items (e.g., clean out the fridge... doesn't seem like ... Continue Reading

Valentine’s Day Eats: Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Whisky Cocktails & More

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day Weekend! Also known as the day of year that is obligatory with chocolate, frilly pink and red decorations, flowers, and -- of course -- love. Foodie Resolutions for 2015

I came across an article on MSN Food & Drink that outlines new things that foodies should try to do in the new year. Meal Delivery Services for the Home Cook: Plated and Blue Apron

Disclaimer: although it may sound like it, this is not a sponsored post, just a review of the services based on my experiences using them. Last year, I posted a review of the very first Plated box that I signed up to receive. Plated is a meal delivery service that allows you to order meals by the "plate" (2 plates = 2 servings), and the ingredients and recipes to make those meals are sent for you to cook at home. My first two meals were swiss chard rolls stuffed with quinoa, goat cheese, and butternut ... Continue Reading

Cookbook Round-up

As the holiday season comes to a close, I am sure many of us have at least one gift card floating around, waiting to be redeemed. Or, if you are like me, maybe the holidays are not formally "done" yet and you might even have belated holiday gifts left to buy for those that we planned on seeing after the holidays. In either case, if you are a food-lover looking for some ideas to use up your gift cards, or in search of a nice host/hostess gift for the person throwing the New Years Eve cocktail party ...
